A cute little hedgehog sits in owners hand gazing out at the world. These normally nocturnal animals can be funny and curious if handled by a a knowledgeable owner. This little guy was a rescued animal at the Saraosta Jungle, where he delighted visitors on a regular basis. He was a wonderful ambassador for his breed and I found him to be unique and adorable. The painting is hand drawn and contins watercolor pencils, watercolor, inktense pencils and gouache.

Pennsylvania based traditional Mixed Media painter, Lori Moon, has been refining her skills in mixing traditional mediums for the past several years. She started out with an interest in photography but returned to her original love of drawing and painting. Her Bachelor of Fine Arts was finished in Cameron University . She went on to get a Masters of Fine Arts from the Academy of Art University of San Francisco where her interest in mixing medias started. Her development as a mixed media artist introduced her to both New Media and traditional combined together.
